These statements compare the future value of the existing plan with the
value of the replacement plan for each eligible employee at different
retirement start ages. Where the employee has a choice, the goal is to
help each employee make an informed decision on which plan is better.
These statements summarize the complete set of retirement benefits for
which the employee is eligible. Often they are generated to coincide with
on site retirement planning workshops.
These statements project future values for 401(k) balances at the present
contribution rate, and at +2%, +4% and +6%. The goal is to motivate employees
to increase their contributions.
