These statements are designed to communicate the total dollar value of
an employee's benefits above and beyond salary, at one moment in time.
Many employees are not aware that company paid benefits often add 30%
to 40% to their base wages.
These statements build on the message of the Total Compensation Statement
by including those asset-accumulation benefits (deferred compensation,
bonus, stock options, key person insurance, etc.) that are available only
to the executive group.
Within the context of total compensation, these statements present all
the benefits for which an employee is eligible, along with any cost to
the employee, so that employees can optimize their choices.
