Martin Leinwand, President Martin co-founded The Consumer Financial Institute (CFI), and working with Digital Equipment Corporation, Polaroid, First National Bank of Boston and fifteen major banks, CFI developed the first commercially viable, high-volume, fully-automated financial planning reports. When the technology was adopted by E. F. Hutton, Merrill Lynch and Shearson, the first phase of the vision was realized. In 1986, CFI was acquired by Price Waterhouse in order to expand its executive planning services to a wider audience. Martin became the Managing Partner of the Price Waterhouse office in Waltham, MA. In 1991, Martin and a group of key managers left Price Waterhouse to form Archimedes Systems, an employee-owned, leading edge firm, specializing in highly personalized, high volume, financial communications. The target market for Archimedes consists of national firms who demand best-of-class services to meet the exacting standards of their clients. These firms seek a high degree of customization to support one-to-one marketing strategies, along with full automation, rapid turnaround and the highest degree of quality control and reliability. At the same time, they want short lead times for project development and affordable production budgets. Martin relishes the leadership challenge of meeting these often conflicting demands.
